The following Greek hams : SV1JG/ Cliff , SV1RC /Spiros , SV1RP/ George , SV1EEX /Nikiforos , SV1GRM/ Theodoros , SW1GZL/ Lykoyrgos , SV1HER/ Sotirios & SV1JCZ/ Daniel are active from the complex of three uninhabitant Islets called Astakida at Karpathion Sea ,IOTA EU-001 , with activation of the lighthouse on one of the Islets , reference WLOTA LH-0393 .
It is the first time that the Islets are activated for ham purposes and so does the lighthouse .
The complex is located on the Western side of Karpathos Islands and on the Northern side of Kasos Islands .
They started their operation on 17 July and will be active until 23 July 2007 .
