I am using this reciever starting July'86 ,It is still working in my Shack , especially for the low bands . The Cup is for the 1st place in Israel , SWL Category , in the "Holyland Dx Contest -1998" .For those who ask who i am , just look at QRZ.com , can't say here anything else except that i am an IOTA Smurf !

MS0WRC- Isle Of Barra Expedition



Members of the Workington & District Amateur Radio Club , will visit the Isle Of Barra , IOTA EU-010 from 6 to 12 October 2007 .
Operators : Steve /G0MTD, Paul /M1PAF, Mark /M0WCR and Jim /G7GAG .
Callsign will be MS0WRC .
Will QRV on 80m - 10m both SSB & VHF/UHF FM .
Most 40 , 20 & 17m SSB but will also be HF mobile to activate rare WAB squares .
Listen out for them activating WAB squares : NF60, NL69, and very rare NL79 .
Scottish Island reference (SCOTIA) : Barra HI 02 .
The team will also travel to Vatersay (HI 01) and Eriskay (HI 05) during the trip .

GS0AYR , Ailsa craig EXpedition -Pictures


Arthur /MM0DHQ was kind to send me an email with a bunch of pictures from the Ailsa Craig Operation .
On the 5th of August 2007 a group of ten Amateur Radio enthusiasts from the Ayr and Kilmarnock Amateur Radio clubs visited the uninhabited island of Ailsa Craig on the Firth of Clyde – some 10 miles off the coast from the village of Girvan in South West Scotland .
The people taking part were :
Dennis Nutt /GM3YDN , George Nutt , Bob Bower /GM4DLG , Charlie Stewart /MM0GNS , Chris Tait /MM3LZW , Graham Cochrane /2M0GCS; Arthur Clark /MM0DHQ , David Hamilton Livingstone /MM3DHL , Bill Findlay /GM4ZNC and John Shankland / GM3CSO .

Corran Point Lightouse , by MM0NDX



During the week of August 25 - Sept 1 , Colin /MM0NDX and his XYL will be on holiday in the Highlands of Scotland . Colin will stay in a little place where the WAB locator is NN15 .
During the break , Colin intend on activating at least one lighthouse . Definitely Corran Point Lighthouse , SCO-051 .
If WX be fine , he'll also try to activate the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse , reference SCO-005 .
Colin inform that he also thinking about airing the rare locator of Rannoch Moor/ Rannoch Moor(2) - WAB NN25 which is only a few miles from his holiday location .

A trip has been arranged by members of Ayr and Kilmarnock Radio Clubs on the 5th August 2007 . Two stations will be on the air from the Island . This is a rare W.A.B. square so its a good chance to get the contact .
