Look for Heinz VA7AQ , he will be active from the BC Province South group , Quadra Island , between 26 July -01 August . IOTA reference NA-091 , BC-006 For the Canadian Islands .
He will be signing as VA7AQ/p .
Last operation was On September 2004 by G3OCA .

VO1J - Fogo Island , NA -198

Special event station from 21 July 2007 to 20 August 2007 , to mark the opening of the Fogo Wireless Interpretation Centre on Fogo Island, Newfoundland and Labrador , Canada .
This operation will include participation in the RSGB IOTA Contest . Fogo Island counts as NA-198 for IOTA and CISA reference is NF-05 . The operators will include : Dan /VO1MX , Wayne/ VO1TA , Ken /VO1KVT , Jason/VO1JNS and Dave / VO1AU .
QSL Via VO1AU .

East Pen Island , New IOTA NA-231

Ken G3OCA and Cezar VE3LYC , Will be operating from East Pen island from July 20th-22nd . East Pen Island counts for Nunavut (Hudson Bay-Ontario Coast) North-East Group . This will be the first activation from the IOTA group . They will have two stations with ground plane antennas from 6m to 40m . They will be running 100 watts . The pair will have to take 5 flights to get to there destination and then sail 120km to the island .
QSL Via VE3LYC , direct or bureau (stations in the United Kingdom can QSL Via G3OCA ) .
Cezar says that East Pen Island is "the breeding place of polar bears , which brings interesting challenges to the team ".

VF0X , IOTA NA-196 - Logged

Last night , on 30 June , i logged VF0X , from Belcher Island ,Hudson bay .
Heard him on the 20 metres band , CW Mode , working on 14.020 MHz and QSX on 14.022.3 MHz , arround 20:15 GMT .
he was very weak , RS(T) given was only 549 .
I was using R-5000 reciever and a Long wire antenna .
I hope for a better propagation for logging him again today .

VF0X - Belcher Island , IOTA NA-196

Pete VE3IKV and Bill W4TAA will be activating the Belcher Islands in CQ Zone 2 , VY0 Nunavut Territory , using the special call sign authorized by Industry Canada – VF0X – between June 29 , 2007 and July 4 , 2007 . This is IOTA Nunavut Territory Islands VY0 reference NA-196 .
They will be on HF and 6 meters , CW and SSB .
The grid square is FO06 . They will also be active on the drive up through Zone 2 on the James Bay Highway in some rare FO grids .
QSL is via VE3IKV direct or via the bureau .

Mayne Island , IOTA NA-075

John / VE7AXU , will be active on 20m & 40m , on PSK mode , from Mayne Island , in the BC Province (Gulf Islands) group , IOTA NA-075 ,BC-035 for CISA award , as VA7PX this weekend , 15-17 June .

Prince Edward Island , IOTA NA-029

Look for Gregg /VE3ZZ and Noel /VE2BR , will operate from
Prince Edward Island in eastern Canada from July 25-30th
signing as VY2TT ,IOTA NA-029 , CISA PE-001 . During the July 28-29th IOTA Contest they will operate as VY2Z and outside of the contest as VE3ZZ/VY2 and VE2BR/VY2 .
QSL's for the VY2Z should go via VE3ZZ .

The VE7QCR , is from IOTA NA-051 , Was activated On 25 July '98 , 20 metres band , and it is Graham Island , BC-002 for the Canadian Islands Award .
The VO1XC from IOTA NA-027 , Was activated On 30 January '99 , 20 metres band , and it is NF-001 for the Canadian Islands Award , St. John's , Newfoundland .
The VE8B from IOTA NA-173 , Was activated On 29 July '97 , 20 metres band , and it is Governor Island ,NW-044 for the Canadian Islands Award .
All On the SSB Mode .
In total , i have logged 18 Canadian Islands , unfortunately Only 7 are Confirmed here .
