GS0AYR , Ailsa craig EXpedition -Pictures

Arthur /MM0DHQ was kind to send me an email with a bunch of pictures from the Ailsa Craig Operation .

On the 5th of August 2007 a group of ten Amateur Radio enthusiasts from the Ayr and Kilmarnock Amateur Radio clubs visited the uninhabited island of Ailsa Craig on the Firth of Clyde – some 10 miles off the coast from the village of Girvan in South West Scotland .
The people taking part were :
Dennis Nutt /GM3YDN , George Nutt , Bob Bower /GM4DLG , Charlie Stewart /MM0GNS , Chris Tait /MM3LZW , Graham Cochrane /2M0GCS; Arthur Clark /MM0DHQ , David Hamilton Livingstone /MM3DHL , Bill Findlay /GM4ZNC and John Shankland / GM3CSO .

CT1RVM/P - Faro do Cabo Raso

A special event station from ARVM - Associaзгo de Radioamadores da Vila de Moscavide signing CT1RVM/p will be active during ILLW 2007 , 18-19 August , from Cabo Raso Lighthouse - reference number ARLHS POR011 . This activity will be also valid for the Portuguese Lighthouses Award reference number DFP FES04 , and Portuguese Castles and Fortresses Award reference number DCFP F141 - Forte de Sao Bras . Activity will be on 40 , 20 , 15 and 10 meters , SSB . QSL Via CT1RVM .

GS0AYR , IOTA EU-123 Ailsa Craig Expedition

A trip has been arranged by members of Ayr and Kilmarnock Radio Clubs on the 5th August 2007 . Two stations will be on the air from the Island . This is a rare W.A.B. square so its a good chance to get the contact .
The callsign is GS0AYR , and reference numbers for this operation are :
Lighthouse : SC0-002 .
IOTA : EU-123 .
IOSA : CL-05 .
SCOTIA : DI-01 .
CASHOTA : GM-032 .
SOTA : GM/SS-246 (Count 1 point) .

GP8LED/P , IOTA EU-114 - Confirmed

Yesterday , the GP8LED/P QSL card , from IOTA EU-114 , arrived via direct .
That was a CASHOTA Operation by Chris / M0DOL and Tom / 2E0TSW . Many thanks Chris for the nice QSL's ! and for a New Castle confirmed !
Chris submitted a CASHOTA introduce paper ( see below) and a QSL from Tom for QSO he made with A41LD .
Thanks again Chris for all informative emails and pictures and we will be in touch , i expect to log you guys from other Castles soon ! 73 !

GP8LED/P , IOTA EU-114

I Just logged the GP8LED/P from IOTA EU-114 Guernsey Islands Group .

On 20 metres Band , SSB Mode , i was staying on 14.190 Mhz for about 15 minutes and logged about 10 QSO's . Chris M0DOL gave the Mic to Tom / 2E0TSW to make a QSO with Walid A41LD at 17:05 GMT .

Trevour/M3PNQ and some members of the Northampton Radio Club also joined the operation .That was a CASHOTA activity .

European Castles Day 2007

This is not an IOTA related Post , but it is definately a Very important Event to mentioned !Just a reminder to all , This year , the European Castles Day will stay on 20 May 2007 , there will be issued awards if at least 5 logs will be submitted in the considered class . Credits to Augusto I2JJR , the DCS awards Manager for introduce me with this information .
Since Castles Chasing is my second favourite after IOTA , i must post this massage....hi
